The Creator Trust Standard

The Creator Trust Standard is our developing framework for human-led content, responsible AI assistance, synthetic media disclosure, creator verification, and consent-based publishing.

1. Human accountability Every published work should have a real creator, editor, publisher, or organization accountable for it.

2. Material AI disclosure AI use should be disclosed when it materially changes the content, voice, image, message, source, or audience perception.

3. Consent for likeness and voice Cloning or simulating a real person’s voice, face, identity, or likeness should require permission and clear labeling.

4. No deceptive synthetic personas Synthetic hosts, experts, testimonials, or characters must not be presented as real people without clear disclosure.

5. Provenance and source clarity Viewers should be able to understand the source, authorship, and creation process behind trusted content.

6. Anti-content-farm protection Automated mass-produced channels designed to exploit distribution systems are not aligned with human-led creation.

Guardrails that protect trust.

The goal is not to ban useful tools. The goal is to prevent deception, impersonation, undisclosed automation, and synthetic media abuse.

AI is a tool, not the creator.

Responsible creators may use AI for captions, translation, editing support, research organization, accessibility, cleanup, workflow, and creative assistance. But viewers should not be misled about what is real, who is speaking, who made the work, or how the media was created.

Allowed AI-assisted captions, editing, cleanup, workflow, translation, accessibility, thumbnails, and production support when not deceptive.

Disclosed AI voices, AI-generated visuals, synthetic characters, reconstructed scenes, translated speech, or material automated edits.

Restricted Voice cloning, likeness simulation, synthetic expert claims, product reviews, testimonials, or news-like content without consent and accountability.

Not aligned Automated content farms, deceptive synthetic personas, fake human channels, unauthorized likeness use, or content designed to mislead viewers.

Transparency should be part of the product.

TrueCreators.org will support public-facing standards and reporting that explain how TrueCreators.tv protects human-led work and handles AI disclosure.
